Rule #1: Eye shall not be green and will have nothing to do with almonds.
ex. "Her green almond-shaped eyes reflected in the mirror." -No.

Rule #2: Never begin any narrative sentence with the word "So", some dialog can begin with with "so"; however, it needs to be used sparingly since it adds very little to any sentence.
ex. "So I went to the dry cleaners today." - No
ex. "I went to the dry cleaners today." - Yes
